Jennifer Hummel, D.V.M.

Dr. Jennifer Hummel was born in Wilson North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate degree at East Carolina University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She completed her veterinary degree at North Carolina State University. She has been practicing at Wilson Veterinary Hospital for a little over a year. Her special interests include surgery, exotic animal medicine and emergency medicine.

Dr. Hummel was led to a career in veterinary medicine by not only her love of animals, but also by her desire to be a problem solver-to in taking care of a species that is unable to tell you what is wrong. She resides in Raleigh, and she and her husband Brad have 5 dogs, 6 cats, 1 bird, 2 guinea pigs, 7 lizards and 4 tarantulas (and yes they are all named, even the tarantulas!)
